Originally exhibited at Artful: The Gallery as part of the group show Locality: Space and Time (July 6 to September 10, 2022) these images of empty retail spaces are available as limited edition prints.

I photographed these empty retail spaces in Courtenay, British Columbia between 2015 and 2020 as part of an ongoing project to document neglected places. The actual spaces are simultaneously physically empty and mentally forgotten. The photographs serve both as a visual record of a place and as a foundation for a narrative that the viewer builds. Over time, these locations may remain empty. They may also be used for something completely different.
